Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Solah Pro collects and uses the following information to provide our services:

Your Account

• An account is needed to use Solah Pro. We store your email address, your name, and the avatar you pick. Your password is never stored as typed; we keep only a secure one-way hash of it.
• While you're signed in, we keep a session record so you stay signed in. It includes the IP address and device type it was created from, to help keep your account secure. Sessions expire after 90 days without use.

Your Ibadah Progress

• The Quran, Qada and habit trackers save what you log to your account: your reading goal and the pages you read, the prayers you owe and make up, and the habits you add with the days you tick them.
• This is kept on your device and synced to our servers, so it's still there if you change or reset your phone.

Location Data

• We request access to your device's location to determine accurate prayer times for your area and to calculate the Qibla direction.
• Your location is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers. To turn it into a place name, the app uses the location service built into your phone (Apple or Google).
• "Update when I travel" is off unless you turn it on. When you do, the app asks for "Always" location access and asks your phone to watch an area of about 10 km around where you are. This uses the region monitoring built into iOS and Android, not continuous GPS tracking.
• When you leave that area, your phone wakes the app briefly, even if it's closed. The app takes one location reading, picks the prayer zone for your new place, updates your notifications and widgets, may show a short notification saying so, and then watches a new area around you. No route or location history is recorded.
• The centre of the area being watched is kept on your device only. Turning the setting off, or removing "Always" location access, stops it.
• You can manually select your prayer zone without granting location access.

Photos

• If you save a prayer times image, the app asks for permission to add it to your photo library. It only saves that image; it does not read or upload your photos.

Kept on Your Device Only

• Your preferences (theme, language, prayer zone, notification settings), the goals you choose, and your Mathurat and Zikr counts are stored only on your device.

Feedback

• If you send feedback, or tell us why you're deleting your account, we receive what you write along with your app version, platform and OS version. It is not linked to your account.

Subscription Information

• If you subscribe to Solah Pro, payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play).
• We do not have access to your payment details, card information, Apple ID or Google account.
• We only receive confirmation of your subscription status in order to enable the supporter themes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to:

• Create your account and keep you signed in
• Display accurate prayer times for your location
• Calculate and display the Qibla direction
• Send prayer time notifications (if enabled)
• Save and sync your Quran, Qada and habit progress across your devices
• Save your app preferences and settings
• Enable the supporter themes for subscribers
• Read and respond to feedback you send

We don't use your information for advertising, we don't build profiles of you, and we never sell or rent it to anyone.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your account and synced progress are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure, behind solahpro.com, and are always sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. On your phone, the app keeps your sign-in in the device's secure storage (the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore). Everything else stays in the app's local storage on your device.

Prayer time data is sourced from JAKIM (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia) for Malaysian prayer zones. The app downloads it directly from JAKIM's e-Solat service by zone code (for example, WLY01) and keeps a copy on your device so it works offline. Your location is never sent with these requests.

4. Third-Party Services

Solah Pro uses the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare — hosts solahpro.com and stores your account and synced progress. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store — for app distribution and subscription management on iOS. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play — for app distribution and subscription management on Android. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat — for validating store subscription receipts and managing entitlements. It receives an anonymous app-generated identifier and your subscription status, not your name, email or payment details. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• JAKIM e-Solat — the official source of Malaysian prayer times. The app requests times for your prayer zone code only; no personal data is sent.
• Apple and Google location services — your phone's built-in service turns a location into a place name when you use location detection. This is handled by your device's operating system under Apple's or Google's privacy policy.

5. Widgets

Solah Pro offers home screen widgets on iOS and Android, plus Lock Screen widgets on iOS. These widgets:

• Display prayer times based on your selected zone
• Store data locally, using iOS App Groups on iPhone and iPad and local app storage on Android
• Do not transmit any data externally

6. Children's Privacy

Solah Pro is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — everything you log is shown to you in the app. You can also email us for a copy of your account data.
• Correct — change your name and avatar at any time in the app (Profile, or Settings → Account).
• Delete — delete your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account). This permanently deletes your account and your synced progress from our servers. Without the app, you can ask us by email instead: see Delete your account. Uninstalling the app removes what's stored on your device.
• Opt out— you can disable location access (including "Always" access for travel updates), photo access and notifications at any time through your device's system settings, or turn off "Update when I travel" in the app.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
